About the Work
Jackson’s songs, books, and drawings began as something he made for himself.
A feeling he needed to get out. A question he couldn’t stop asking. A resource he needed but couldn’t find. A way of staying honest and present in seasons that nearly broke him.
He believes the ideas are given to him. That making something is how you honor that. That creativity and faith aren’t separate things. One flows from the other.
The work was never created to instruct or fix. It emerged quietly, as a way of paying attention.
Where It Began
Jackson’s story began when he reached the end of himself. After losing his marriage, he chose sobriety. What followed wasn’t a clean recovery. It was a reckoning with everything he couldn’t control, fix, or outrun.
He wasn’t looking for an audience. He was looking for God.
Out of that season came the writing, the songs, the drawings. What he found there changed him in ways he’s still discovering.
The Work Today
Some of this work sat in a box for years before it found anyone. He believes that’s part of how it works — nothing is wasted, and the right person finds the right thing when they need it.
